Longines World’s Best Racehorse – YouTube Live

Karma were asked by our friends at Fast Track Media to film, live stream and edit on-site the Longines World’s Best Racehorse award ceremony. The awards took place at the exclusive Claridges Hotel in Mayfair, London and were attended by the great and the good of the international racing community.

After completing both a pre-stream stream tunnel test and a technical recce in the week before it was an early morning rig for the Karma live team. Our crew, who were all dressed in black tie, set up one of our Portable Production Unit’s (PPU’s), five cameras and two on-site edit suites. This enabled us to film, audio mix, vision mix and live stream a fully redundant and broadcast quality production to YouTube Live.

The winner of the prestigious “Longines World’s Best Racehorse” Award went to the Breeder’s Cup Classic winner Arrogate with California Chrome finishing in second place. The event was a great success with the video drawing viewers from across the world including from Japan, Hong Kong and America. It also picked up a great amount of press coverage with both BBC Sport and Sky Sports writing a reports on the event.
