Good Life Films was originally for a major broadcast documentary project 'The Agony and the Ecstasy' which is being screened in August 2017. Whatever the project, whatever the subject matter, we are convinced our team can produce the goods on any broadcast production! Debby Lee
Debby Lee

Debby has over three decades in working in the Creative Industries, starting her career in entertainment as a prolific music promoter and leisure brand owner, including legendary night-club brand Pacha UK.

She made a leap into TV, working as an Exec on music projects for MTV and Channel 4, then headed up branded content and experiential marketing for TV brands Downton Abbey and Towie for ITV, and the pioneering digital division for a major TV indie group, Argonon. Through her own production company specialising in Ad Funded Content she worked with karma on a food and travel series for the Discovery network, and from this succesful union Good Life Films was born.

Jon’s career in the Broadcast and Creative world has seen him work on programmes, events and commercials including the Big Breakfast, World Cups, Olympics and World Music Awards, picking up a few awards along the way. He is the Karma group CEO and is excited about the commercial opportunities Good Life Films presents. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Michael Martin

Creative Director – Karma Group

Michael is a creative with over 20 years experience making quality television, commercials and music videos in the UK, the US and internationally. He has an original sense of style and always uses a fresh eye on every project. Michael always delivers on brief with vision and passion and has very strong editorial skills.

Michael has made successful shows for the BBC, Channel 4, MTV, SKY and National Geographic. As well as working with super brands such as Adidas, Puma and Garnier, and has been heading up the creative wing of the Karma group for over two years and is a perfect fit for the Good Life Films family.

Peter Baron
Peter Baron

Pete has been working in the Creative business for over three decades , starting his career in Outside Broadcasts as a Unit Manager for Trillion, covering large sporting and music events before moving into studios and production for Limehouse Television with ”Network Seven”, “Business Daily”, “The Word” & “Dance Energy” before becoming Head of Production at Fuji Television – London. Most notable productions include “Nirvana at Reading 92”, “Paul McCartney in Kiev” and “David Bowie at the Astoria, plus Series Producer of “Passengers” for CH4 and “The Beat” for ITV.

Working alongside the rest of the team Pete is looking forward to the many and varied opportunities that Good Life has on it’s slate for the coming year.

John originally trained and qualified as a barrister and established Amongst Others in 2008 – as an independent legal representation, management and consultancy practice specialising in entertainment, sport and music. Present client roster (in either a legal, management or consultancy capacity) comprises new, emerging and established music artists and bands, songwriters, producers, production companies, managers, independent record labels and music publishers/ synch agents/ music supervisors, fashion design houses/ retailers, professional sports teams and personalities, celebrities, screenwriters, directors and television, film and theatre production companies.

Karma and Goodlife Films produce hit rave documentary, The Agony & the Ecstasy for Sky Arts

Karma and Good Life films have worked together to produce the new hit documentary series ‘The Agony & the Ecstasy’ for Sky Arts. The landmark series documents the roots to riches story of how a perfect storm of DJ’s, people, drugs and politics created the rave culture synonymous with the UK. The episodes are presented by pioneering DJ’s Norman Jay MBE, Goldie and Paul Oakenfold who tell the story with help from a huge list of contributors who were there at the start and helped to shape the music, parties and style that remains so iconic today.

With three main episodes and a partner episode with Dave Pearce counting down the 20 greatest rave tunes, this is a Friday night television event not to be missed.

Karma launch Good Life Films

The Karma Group, one of the UK’s most respected and leading digital & facilities companies, launches a new Indie, Good Life Films.

This new broadcast and online production company will focus on factual and entertainment programming and build on Karma’s existing and impressive branded content business.

Former Argonon and Spirit Digital Exec, Debby Lee, who recently collaborated with Karma to deliver a flag ship and critically acclaimed series for SKY Arts, The Agony and The Ecstasy, will head up the new production company as CEO.

Building on the series for SKY and with several highly successful collaborative video Ad campaigns delivered together, the union between Karma and Debby Lee provides a solid foundation stone to launch Good Life Films.

Both Karma and Debby Lee have previously developed and supplied content for leading channels both in the UK and internationally, winning Baftas and RTS awards.  Karma is also a specialist digital supplier for content and live broadcasting on all social platforms.

Ad funded programming will be an important initiative for Good Life Films, as the senior team has collective credentials of working with some of the world’s most famous brands and agencies’
