A few weeks ago we were asked by our friends at Verve to produce a series of short videos for Guinness ‘Plea For The TV’ in a bid to get rugby lovers to have full reign of the TV for the Autumn Nations Cup which finished last weekend with a nail biting match between England and France. It is truly magical having rugby back in full swing.

The premise was to capture the pleas from three rugby legends, Tom Shanklin representing Wales, Jim Hamilton representing Scotland and Ugo Monye representing England. Over the course of three days we captured the legends in various locations, of course abiding by COVID safe rules so much so we were invited into one of legends homes.

All three put forward passionate pleas that if there was a rugby fan in the house such as their room mates or other family members, they were to hand over the remote so that the fans could watch the matches, particularly as international rugby had been on a hiatus for a considerable amount of time whilst other sports returned.

Not only did we shoot the legends (albeit one remotely) we conducted all the post production with our remote edit suites so the deliverables for Instagram & Twitter were delivered on time and to the highest of standards for our client.

We love rugby here at Karma and we have always had the pleasure of working with Verve whenever international rugby comes around, be sure to check in when the Six Nations begins in a couple of months as we will be capturing more rugby fuelled content then.

Below is a compilation video of the three legends with their inspired pleas:
