Karma were asked by are friends at Christie’s in London to conduct the 20th Century London to Paris live stream to both Christie’s website and YouTube back in October. We have worked closely with Christie’s on many projects in the past however the aforementioned live stream had a twist.
The difference to this stream compared to others which we have facilitated for the world renowned auction house is that not only were we conducting a live cut from our production set up in London, which consisted of six cameras with a jimmy jib, but also integrating this with a live feed coming in from Paris to create the master cut.
Christie’s were impeccable with making sure that the set up both in London & Paris abided by COVID-19 rules with only select buyers being allowed in the room, all the more reason to make sure the stream went successfully, which is where we come in.
The whole event was a total success with the most notable sale being the Portrait of Sir David Webster by David Hockney which you could well have seen making headlines in the news.
With things hopefully returning to normal in 2021 and if you were to have any OB requirements then please do not hesitate to contact us.
