Karma’s 2019 –

Well it is nearly the end of 2019 and it has been quite a year here at Karma, with both our live streaming and production teams travelling all over the world. We are very fortunate as due to the nature of our work we are not pigeon holed into covering just one aspect of covering or creating content and we have our clients both old and new to thank for that. There have been so many highlights over the course of this year but below are just a few examples of what we have been up to over the last 12 months.

Music has been a big part of our work this year, whether it be a multi camera live stream at Wembley or an intimate performance for an artist that has been inducted into the Rock & Roll hall of fame we have covered it all. We have also worked with artists right across the musical spectrum whether it be Stormzy, Bastille, Dave, The Kooks, James Arthur the list goes on. Each event was memorable for so many reasons, a personal highlight was The Rated Legend show at the Brixton Academy back in March, due to the nature of the event we had to shoot, direct & live stream the best way possible for his fans, it was an emotional evening but to see many artists come out in remembrance for Cadet made the event so special albeit for sombre reasons.

Away from music we had the pleasure of covering numerous fashion shows both both clients old and new. Our friends at A-Cold-Wall asked asked to stream two shows for them and both the Truman Brewery & Printworks, each one had its own unique look and we were able to capture the shows with numerous cameras whether it be Steadicams or HotHeads. The fashion show that we captured for Jacamo was a first as it took place in a swimming pool in the basement of a London hotel, both the rig and the show were great fun with the crew managing to dodge getting wet.

Leaving live streaming to one side we were privileged to produce two shows this year for Sky Arts and Amazon respectively. One show took us across the pond to the US and the other to some of the remotest places in Scotland. With one of the shows about a classic British film and the other about whiskey it you cannot say that our work is not diverse and the crew always relish rubbing shoulders with some of Hollywood’s finest.

It really has been a wonderful year and we have to thank our clients for giving us the opportunity to do what we love doing and long may that continue in 2020. From all of us here at Karma may we wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year and we shall see you next year.
