With the conclusion of this year’s Premier League and Manchester City’s narrow victory over Liverpool, Karma takes a look at the football content it produced over the last year.
In 2018, on behalf of our friends at Perform, the crew travelled to Kiev to produce branded content for Nissan, the sponsors of the 2018 UEFA Champions League. With competitions and demonstrations as well as guest spots from ex-international footballers, Karma produced a series of films for Nissan to use on their social media platforms and internally within the company. The films were based around Nissan’s slogan of ‘Innovate your game’ and featured some of Nissan’s innovative and conceptual technology as well as footage from the fan zones and, of course, the Champions League final.
With 2018 also came the World Cup in Russia. This was Karma’s 3rd World Cup and by far the most exciting. We worked with FIFA to produce the headline social media content for FIFA TV. This included the well-received World Cup daily show that summarised the football action of the day as well as the World Cup Driver series featuring fans and songs from different countries. The production team were also given the opportunity to work with some of football’s legends such as Carles Puyol, Andrés Iniesta and Sergio Batista.
This Year karma has worked with The Coaches Voice on their ‘Masterclass’ series and promotional video. The series features some of football’s best players and managers such as Xabi Alonso, Jose Mourinho and David Moyes. The ‘Masterclass’ series gives managers and players the opportunity to walk through their careers, in-game tactics and plays.
Karma has edited over 50 La Liga films including, La Liga memories, La Liga Big Matchups and TIO Challenge for our client DAZN. We also edited ‘A Champions Story’ which featured ex-footballers and La Liga ambassadors such as Steve McMananaman, Diego Forlán, Júlio Baptista and many more.
We filmed Leicester City FC’s match against Valencia for Panasonic. The aim was to produce content to be viewed on their new 16K TV screen. We achieved this by covering the game with 7 cameras as well as specialist Phantom Flex cameras.
For the past year we have worked with DAZN to film most weeks at Leatherhead FC covering their training sessions. This included match coverage, post-match interviews and training sessions for their match analysis. IBM Raise The Game.
